It has been 8 months, since Google plus first opened to the public and we have been seeing an avalanche of updates and exciting features, but team Google plus have failed to deliver more important features, which is playing a big part in loss of its users.
API – Google plus team has failed to make its API public, which inhibits developers from creating user-friendly 3rd party apps. Its goes without saying that users prefer to use 3rd party apps rather than the usually dull native interface. This is a very important factor, which is contributing to the loss of users on Google plus and it needs to be addressed immediately
Mobile Platform – For those of you, who have used the mobile version of Google plus know it’s completely a big waste of time. Mobile platform is the fastest growing area in the 21st century and Google plus has failed to focus there. If you are an android or apple user, you’re lucky that there is a native app, but it still doesn’t come anywhere close to matching the desktop features. Sadly there is no app for blackberry,symbian,java or windows phone users, which is again a huge mistake by team Google plus.
Interface – Interface of Google plus is warm and welcoming, but in comparison to Facebook its total crap.Atleast team Google plus should focus on improving the interface for pages (brands).
To conclude, I am going to admit, I am pissed at team Google plus for not delivering the above important features. Alas,i am another humble fan of Google plus and I want to see it reach its full potential.
